John Klobasa, a St. Louis native, has been practicing law in the metropolitan St. Louis area since 1975. Upon graduation from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis John became associated with the law firm of Kohn, Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum, specializing in civil trial law and general legal services. John practiced at that firm until 2015, at which time he formed Klobasa Law LLC. At Klobasa Law John continues his practice in civil litigation with emphasis on estates & trusts, domestic relations, personal injury, wrongful death, will and trust contests, commercial litigation and general civil litigation. John also offers general legal services including incorporations, wills, probate and estate administration, powers of attorney, debt resolution, asset protection and prenuptial agreements.
During his career John has been active from a civic standpoint. He has served as Alderman and a member of the Board of Adjustment for the City of Des Peres, as well as a member of the Board of Adjustment for the City of Kirkwood. The Cities of Des Peres and Town and Country also retained John to represent their interests in litigation against a developer. John has been recognized by the Missouri Bar for his pro bono work and is a member of their Pro Bono Wall of Fame. In addition, John has volunteered with the Missouri Department of Corrections, working one on one with inmates who are about to be released back into society helping them prepare for the challenges that they will face.
